Re: math question
Fri, November 14, 2008 - 11:09 PMAs a percentage ....
anything that is 1 is = 100%
anything that is 0.1 or 1/10th of 1 is 10%
anything that is 0.01 or 1/100th of 1 is 1 %
So take this an an example:
Property rent is $ 35,000
Property Value is $ 400,000 The ratio is 35,000/400,000 = 0.0875
Now the rent is equal to 8.75% of the value of the property
If it was say 35,000 / 4,000,000 = 0.00875
Then it would be 0.875%

Re: math question
Sat, September 19, 2009 - 8:26 PMHOW I would handle the problem
can anyone tell me what is the percentage from 1- 100
what is the percentage of 37000 out of 5.4 million?
= needs to be expressed in a percentage. check.
37,000 and 5,400,000 both have base reducability because of zeros. ergo.
Elimate the trees from the forest.
37 over (or / ) 5,400 ; or crude 36 / 5, 400 both divisable by 6, that is 6 over 900/ or 2/300 or 1/150. or 0.006666 ( 0.6 %)
That serves as a bench mark for the correct answer. if the answer you arrive at is way off from that, your math is
goofed.
Then I cracked out the calculator and came up with 0.6851851851851 etc %
How did I do
Randy,,,,, Oh, I just checked the work of former posters now. Looks like one agrees with the math I
did blind test.
